As early as possible, especially for flightseeing tours and peak summer travel (June through August). The Denali Flightseeing with Glacier Landing sells out weeks ahead on busy summer weeks. For ATV, Jeep, zipline, and rafting tours, 2–4 weeks ahead is generally enough, but earlier is always better. July and August dates go fast.

• ATV, Jeep, and Zipline tours: Full refund with 7 or more days' notice. Within 7 days: a 25% fee applies to reschedule; no refund if you cancel entirely.
• Denali Flightseeing with Glacier Landing (fixed-wing): Full refund minus a $25 processing fee with 72+ hours' notice. Non-refundable within 72 hours. Full refund if Fly Denali cancels due to weather.
• Helicopter Glacier Landing: A 10% fee applies up to 48 hours prior. Non-refundable within 48 hours. Full refund if our helicopter operator cancels.
• Denali Summit Flight: A 10% fee applies with 8 or more days' notice. Non-refundable within 7 days.
• Rafting tours (Canyon Wave and Wilderness Wave): No refund within 7 days of departure; all trips run rain or shine. Cancellations with 8 or more days' notice incur a 10% cancellation fee.
• Husky Homestead sled dog tour: Full refund with 4 or more hours' notice. No-shows are charged the full price.
• DogGoneIt sled dog tour: Full refund or credit with 24 or more hours' notice, and full refund or credit if we cancel due to weather. No-shows are charged the full price.
• Hiking tours (Naturalist Walking, Wilderness Wonders, Survival, and Into the Mountains): Cancel any time before your guide arrives for a full refund.

Yes, the zipline course requires a minimum weight of 70 lbs and a maximum of 280 lbs, per ACCT safety standards. The Jeep Tour, Wilderness Wave scenic float, and sled dog kennel tours are the most accessible options for guests with limited mobility. For ATV tours, guides help guests mount and dismount vehicles safely. Call us before booking to describe your situation, and we’ll recommend the best fit for your group.

If our aircraft operator cancels for weather, you receive a full refund. We contact you as soon as possible and work with you on rebooking options based on your remaining schedule. Weather-related cancellations are the exception, as our pilots fly in Denali conditions regularly, but when they do occur, you’re protected.

Denali generates its own weather patterns, and the peak is in clouds a good portion of the time. The most reliable strategy is to allow 2–3 days in the area to maximize your chances of a clear view. Guests who book flightseeing tours get above the cloud line and typically have better mountain visibility when conditions allow. No tour can guarantee a specific view. That’s part of what makes a clear Denali day so memorable.

Denali summer (May through September) runs from mild and sunny to cool and rainy, often on the same day. Temperatures typically range from the 40s to the low 70s°F. Layers are essential. Rain gear, a warm mid-layer, and sun protection are worth packing on every tour regardless of the morning forecast.

Rain is part of the authentic Alaska experience, and our guides are experienced at making every outing memorable regardless of conditions. Flightseeing tours require minimum visibility thresholds and may be delayed or rescheduled in low-visibility weather.

Denali weather can change quickly. Bring:

• A warm mid-layer (fleece or light down)

Yes, photography is encouraged on all our tours. Aerial shots from flightseeing are some of the best photos our guests take on their entire Alaska trip. We recommend a wrist strap or case for phones and cameras on ATV and rafting tours, where rough terrain and water spray can damage unprotected devices.

Most of our guided tours, including ATV, Jeep, zipline, rafting, and hiking, take place in the wilderness surrounding the park, outside the park boundary. No park entrance fees, no permit requirements, and more flexibility on timing. The Husky Homestead sled dog tour is located near the park entrance. Flightseeing tours fly above and around the Alaska Range, including over Denali National Park.
