Details
Get out and ride in the Alaskan Boreal Forest! Traveling at speeds up to 30 mph, maneuver through the taiga to picturesque panoramas of the Alaska Range. Observe glacial moraines and historic archaeological dig sites while navigating tree rutted trails, mountain-fed creek beds, and boggy tundra. Spend more time riding on the trail than any other Denali area off-road adventure tour.
You may learn how to make fireweed tea, leave with a blueberry smile, or even chat about survival. Periodic stops are made for photography and wildlife sightings. Tackle the terrain in a single-rider ATV or share the thrill in a multi-passenger side-by-side ATV. Trails are challenging for all experience levels. Total tour covers about 20 miles with 2½ hours on the trails.

Tour Reviews
A great half a day out
We did this trailblazer tour as a family with us and our 19 year old son.
Our son drove all the way round, which he absolutely loved.
The drive wasn’t too rough and the sites were stunning.
This isn’t a wildlife tour, but is a great half a day out.

Policies
Special requirements
ATV Driving Policies: All drivers must have and show a valid Driver's License or government issued photo ID with date of birth. Anyone under 16 years old, or anyone without a valid Driver's License/ID, will be restricted to a passenger seat on a Side by Side ATV. To drive the ATVs, you must be 18 years old, or 16 years old with parental permission.
Minors and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We can provide a forward-facing car seat (for children at least 1 year old and 35 lbs and up / 16 kg and up) and/or a booster seat (for children over 4 years old and 50 lbs and up / 23 kg and up) for small children upon request. Children should be in the same type of seat they use in a car. Limited quantities, please reserve in advance.
Service animals are welcome on this tour.
One thing worth double-checking with Taylor: whether that last line should be more specific, for example noting any handling requirements on an ATV (leash, carrier, rider seating), since a moving vehicle tour is a bit different from a walking tour and guests may wonder how a service animal rides along. If Taylor has more detail, I can expand that line; otherwise this simple confirmation is accurate as given.
Restrictions
ATV tours are not recommended for anyone with neck or back issues or for women who are pregnant. Consult a doctor before booking a tour.
Animals may not accompany you on the ATV tour.
Health & Safety
At Denali ATV, we prioritize your safety by offering brand-new ATV each summer, comprehensive safety orientations, and personalized instruction to ensure you have a thrilling yet secure adventure with us!
Disclaimers
Remember that you are on vacation! Relax and have a good time. Alaska is unique in landscape, wildlife, culture, and weather; do not expect Alaska to be the same as where you live. To truly enjoy your time here, bring your sense of adventure, be flexible, patient, and receptive to new experiences.
Weather Policy
ATV tours depart and continue in all conditions. Weather changes quickly in the Alaska Range so it’s best to be prepared for everything!
Cancellation
We require a 7 day notice for cancellations and rescheduling of tours. We will work with you to reschedule another date that is more appropriate. Under 7 days, changing the reservation day or time will incur a fee, 25% of the total tour bill. If you need to cancel entirely, we will provide a full refund with a 7 day notice.
Child Policy
Minors and Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. We provide car seats and booster seats for small children and infants or guests can bring their own. Our car seats are forward facing so infants should be over 35lbs, able to sit up and hold their head up on their own and they must wear a helmet at all times. Everyone, including children, must have their own seat, just like a car.
